I heard from my local dealer today

I would recommend not trusting a word your dealer says, either negative or positive until your car is on their lot. They (really all dealers in general) seem to be clueless but still feel the need to make statements and pass them off as fact.

I don't know were Ask MINI gets their information but at least they are set up to have some connection to the factory

Since I’m trying to work with another dealer on an unrelated matter (it’s been very trying), I agree that sharing accurate information is rare at most dealers.

Hmmm, not sure what to believe. My dealer said by late October. Another dealer said plan on 14 weeks, so November. Either way, I think they are quoting build complete, not dealer delivery, so 2022 would not be out of the question… So just sit back and wait!

Our builds are similar and in the same spot in the queue from what I can tell. I've been living vicariously through your updates, so thank you for putting your brain gasket on the line on my behalf!

Hey joshf2k, what is Ask-MINI telling you that your Expected Completion date is?

In another Thread "Delivery Stories" KD4KCD said their MINI (also BRG) was in the Paint Shop for 5 weeks -- just like yours -- and it went into the Assembly Line today August 26. Looks like some movement for another "long waiter".

The website just says "Scheduled for Production". The automated phone line says "Scheduled for production with no confirmed production date". I wasn't really expecting anything useful by calling, but I'm glad I did!

Will be interesting if the website updates tomorrow with your schedule date, which would support my thought that they only update the automated systems once once a week on Friday.

You might be right but I kind of doubt that the system only updates weekly on Fridays. My MINI went into the Body Shop on July 20 which is a Tuesday. I know it was on a Tuesday because until that point was checking MyGarage two or three times PER DAY.

In addition, today in another thread "KD4KCD" said their progress went from Paint Booth to Entering Assembly line.

Lastly MyGarage does not show the Expected Completion date or even the Date that a stage is entered -- no dates at all in fact. It just shows the stage at that point in time. You can get the Expected Completion date from a live person at Ask-MINI or from the IVR system. You can only get the Expected Start date from a live person at Ask-MINI.

I was making a guess based on very little data, so I AM probably wrong.

It's all good. We are all grasping at straws it seems. I posted a while back in another thread just how frustrating this is. The dribs and drabs of information, conflicting details, etc.

They're saying Aug 31. But as of today, it's still in paint. We'll see!
