Buyback Bolts for sale

I found a 2018 Bolt that has been bought back by GM for sale at a dealer. What are the thoughts on these bought back cars? Are they as safe as any other used bolt or are they especially dangerous?

Might be a good deal, assuming GM solves the battery problems, but I would not buy one until that happens.

2018 Bolts are on the battery recall - is there a way you can check the vin before purchasing?

Check the vin on NHTSA.gov to see if the new recall is outstanding. Cars get bought back for all sorts of reasons, including ridiculous ones like the e-Golf I posted in that subforum bought back because a VW dealer couldn't get the ants out of it.
