Ford puts that on every single electronic module in every vehicle they assemble, even the stereo. Part of their quality control system. There has to be a good story behind the "scrap if dropped".

Hopefully by then Ford will have refined the system and reduce the component/hose count to a reasonable configuration, but a ESP is probably still a good idea on a first release production vehicle.Good lawd that's a lot of plumbing.I know one thing's for certain, I'll definitely be buying an ESP for the Lightning I'm getting.
I was a Ford dealer line technician for 11 years so I know the value of an ESP where the electronics are concerned and considering this whole vehicle is just about nothing but, yeah a good insurance policy for sure.Hopefully by then Ford will have refined the system and reduce the component/hose count to a reasonable configuration, but a ESP is probably still a good idea on a first release production vehicle.![]()
