Thanks @Tommy Electric. I was surprised at how quickly the car arrived at the dealer since I was quoted November when I placed the order.

I also ordered my Iconic Mini from Mini of Portland, still waiting for it but so far did not experience so aggressive selling practices. Fully agree with your own conclusion: just keep on mandatory tax and fees.

  1. Iconic selling price: $ 37,750 ($36,900 + $850 destination/handling fee)
  2. Processing fee: $115
  3. Tax estimated $188.75 (in September 2020, at the time of the order)
  4. Non Tax fees $1,085.50 (registration and miscellaneous administrative fees --> still to be clarified)
  5. All weather floor mats - Free
  6. Short Antenna - Free

Wait, should I be negotiating free all weather floor mats and a short antenna?

I was able to kick off all the extra stuff for which they had previously given me prices. Yay!

Here's my bill:
Selling Price: $38,250 ($36,900 + $500 Lounge leather seats + $850 destination fee)
Processing Fee: $115
Tax: $191.25 (0.5%)
Non Tax Fees: $1,131.50 (I'm not getting personalized/special plates at this time)
Cash Deposit/credit: $500
Balance: $39,187.75
 
Good, looks like it’s aligned now.
Try to get some inexpensive accessories, they should be ok to provide those if you gently insist.
When should your car be ready?
I’m interested to know how the final delivery process is going for you (final paper work, notifications, preparations days...)

Ah, you must mean the "Sport Aerial Rod." I'm happy to report I've had no problems receiving either my local FM or Sirius/XM signals with this truncated receptor. Now that I think about it, I should remove it to discover if it's actually involved with Sirius/XM reception.

SiriusXM runs on a 2.3GHz band, so a full wave antenna would only need to be 125mm, or 4.9in... so, half or quarter wave versions could be very small indeed.

I received the updated purchase quote yesterday. It was noted it is still going through the pre-delivery inspection and preparation. Also said he "would be notified once it goes into detail after preparation and once that happens, we can have a better time frame of completion to set a reservation to come in and sign for the car." I sent him my insurance information yesterday to get the paperwork started.

So...I don't know. They have doubled the mileage since the 1st purchase proposal (was at 4 then, now at 8) :-).

Yeah, Seattle Mini estimated my mileage as 9 whenever it is ready... (guessing either today or tomorrow, will ping my SA today)

It looks so much better than the dull Stock antenna.

The highest level trim - Iconic provides more profit $. Not surprising if you purchase the Signature trim, like I did, that they try hard to pad their pockets. I declined all the "extras". I had to purchase my floor mats :-(
 
I usually put Weathertech floor mats in my cars - has anyone ordered them for the ES? Just wondering if the arrangement would match up to their standard hardtop floor mats. I bet they would.
