I noticed my driver window does not go down all the way, it pops up above the gaskets a slight amount. My passenger window stays all the way inside the door. I'd appreciate hearing from other owners what their window behavior is like.

I asked my service department about it and they thought it was not right, but then discovered they have other 2021 models that behave the same way (but not all of them). They're looking into it, but gathering data from other SE owners would be helpful.

My 2021 SE's driver window goes down further than yours. When I run my finger across the gaskets, I cannot feel the glass until I get up to the front of the window. The front top corner of the window pokes up just high enough to feel it. So when rolled down, the back edge of the window is lower than the front in my SE.

I just tested this on mine.
  • When I use the "hold the unlock button on the key fob to roll the windows down" trick, both windows stop just short, as shown in @Puppethead's picture.
  • Same thing happens when I use the one-touch-down feature via the door switches.
  • But! If I tap the door switch a second time, the window goes down the rest of the way. Both sides behave this way.

I wonder if there's a calibration procedure for the windows. On my previous car, you had to re-calibrate the one-touch-up feature on the windows if the 12V battery was disconnected by using the key in the door lock cylinder to roll the windows all the way down, then all the way up and holding there for a few seconds.

This 2012 web page describes "power window memory" like you remember from your previous car. Perhaps window operation is timed rather than controlled by limit switches. @Puppethead, any luck with a second tap or this procedure?

My Ford Fiesta had auto down and auto up for the front windows, but if you disconnected the battery for any service, it would 'forget' the auto-up part and have to be 're-enabled' via a complex series of push on button, hit and hold down switch until the window was all the way down, and then pull up and hold until the window was all the way up. by mistake once I didn't quite wait for it to be all the way up, and it saw that as the 'up' stop. it was quite bothersome until I disconnected the battery again and did the relearn procedure properly. perhaps one could disconnect the 12v battery on the mini and perform a similar action?
 
Over four months later and my windows are behaving fine, second tap causes them to go all the way into the door.

When I went to get my snow wheels put on at the dealer we checked the windows again, and they're behaving as expected. I don't use the windows much, particularly the passenger side, but maybe they just needed a break-in period.
