What is the most convincing argument for Trump?

As I said, I'm not voting FOR Trump but against Biden.. BTW, Flint is a Dem run city.. Trump is actually helping to fix the problem there.
I'm not against local regulations where needed. LA has unique geographical challenges with smog. I'm just against Federal regulations..
My opinion of Trump is not very high. He is a moron who constantly shoots himself in the foot because he doesn't vet anything he tweets and does not think before he talks or tweets. He is his own worst enemy. He knows that the media is out to get him and with his stupidity, he gives them ammo almost every day..
 
Don't have to be a Dem to believe in protecting the environment. I live in a very clean part of the world and want to keep it that way. Going electric with my car, bikes, and full off grid solar at our cabin is just part of it.

For that matter, Trump has done well with the environment. Last year the US had the most success in reducing emissions amongst all major countries. This was thanks to his policies on fracking which made a lot more cheap NG available, and helping power companies get off dirty coal. So he did better than the previous administration in that regard.

So Trump passes regulations to reduce methane capture and increases the greenhouse effect. Then he has some strange medical advice about wind turbine noise. As for bird kill, a recent report claims painting one blade black makes a substantial reduction in bird kill.

My reference was about C02 emissions. That was the big talking point with the Paris Accord, and targets needing to be set by countries.

If it was up to Dems, they don't want you to eat meat, because of all the cattle out there farting methane.

I doubt that Biden will actually debate Trump.. He is too afraid.. he will find a reason not to debate Trump.... maybe claim to have COVID19 or something else..

Yup, that's what I have been saying. Top Dems are recommending he find a way to weasel out. But sure would be fun sports show if he indeed decided to go ahead. They could sell tickets for that one...

Trump tends to dominate debates as he always goes on the offense.. I don't think that Biden would stand a chance. Biden is only half way decent if everything is scripted and he knows the questions but that can't prepare him for direct exchanges with Trump.. Biden's only chance is to chicken out..

Curiously, I've suspected there will only be one debate. Totally humiliated, Trump will cancel any follow up:
  • September 29 - Trump is humiliated and storms off stage
  • October 15
  • October 22
I'm more interested in the vice presidential debate when Kamala Harris flummox Pence, October 7,2020.

I don't remember anyone being forced to work without PPE. I do remember early on some of our illustrious scientist leaders telling us masks don't help. But if that happened, that would be done by local leaders, not Trump. You don't live in a socialist country,... yet. Workers still have choices of where they work.

Having said that, I have a lot of respect of front line food workers, esp those in grocery stores who perhaps did not get the same recognition as the medical workers. I actually know a few medical workers personally, incl doctors and nurses, and it was actually really slack in the hospitals because of all the cancelled surgeries. One nurse said, most of their night shift was spent on the internet looking at facebook, etc because of no patients. But the grocery stores had to face a rush of shoppers who were over buying and hoarding. They were the unsung heroes from what I saw.

We have chicken processing plants in North Alabama and they became super-spreader sites. Local TV interviewed some of the 'critical' employees and found there had been no improvements in PPE, work space separation, or other safety practices. In effect, the employees became the CORVID-19 vectors in Franklin and Marshall counties.

Three "people" have written comments on this thread. bwilson4web has a profile that lists his age, a picture, a homepage. His comments are not extreme and promote the intent of the InsideEVs forum. However, R P and BlueKonaEV seem to be Trolls. If they are not, they have swallowed the Fox talking heads rhetoric hook, line, and sinker.

First and foremost, the whole concept of EVs is the environment. Those who support a politician who has a dismal environmental record are not likely, on this forum, to be genuine. Those who post inflammatory and extreme positions, particularly in a divisive manner, are likely to be Trolls.

There is also the tendency to pick and choose facts. For example:

The fact is that Trump promised to protect coal and coal workers. It is also a fact that Trump had almost nothing to do with the fracking boom which began long before he became president. And finally, I am certain that Donald cannot control the U.S. weather.

Well, now I have been called a Russian, and a Troll. I guess I should expect to be attacked by those who disagree with me when I dispute their "facts". I know the US is very polarized politically, but am a little surprised just how one-sided this forum is. It it not just left wingers that buy EVs. But maybe the right wingers just vote and don't bother to express their opinions where they might be attacked. Sure would be nice if people were a little more tolerant and showed some respect for opinions other than their own.

As for Troll definition, I might ask Dale why is he on this forum? What EV car does he own?

As for Bob, I don't call him a Troll despite his constant attacks on Trump. He said he is a Dem lifer, even though now the party is very different than just 20 years ago. But that's fine, I can understand him, and why he thinks that way. He is also very closed minded about Tesla and very defensive of any possible criticism of his precious M3.

And 101, I just consider him a nutcase, and only look at his posts sometimes if I want a laugh. I don't try to figure him out. It would be a complement to call him a Troll.

As for myself, I have made it clear many times, that I am NOT a Trump fan. I was not happy how a former Dem and despicable business man came in and was able to hijack the Rebub primary to be their candidate. But I am also not a current Dem fan with how the party has gone radically left, and can't for the life of me understand why they picked Biden, a senile puppet. Surely there could have been a lot better choices. If Mark Cuban would have run, he would have been a shoo-in over Trump.

But we are where we are, and will have to choose who is the lesser evil. Good luck!

I will also say that I just got back from the west coast, 4 days salmon fishing at a very remote resort (Flynn's Cove). Totally off grid, not even satellite TV. Most important thing to talk about there was where to find the Coho highway (on their way to spawning) and what bait/lures to use. We did well, though, and I came back with a cooler full of meat. We lucked out with the weather, too,... no smoke, the odd shower, lots of sunshine and calm seas, just some big rollers (nothing between us and Japan).

Well, if you really believe that, and seems that you do, I am giving you too much credit. You and 101 really are very much alike, with your conspiracy theories,... just not the same ones. Although you probably do share some as well.
