I have 215/55R-17 Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 SL winter tires on my Clarity. I live in an area that while hilly, only gets deluged with snow and ice during "off" years. Last year was relatively mild- however there was a distinct difference driving on the winter tires vs OEM with perceived negative impacts to handling and perhaps stopping distance. I have two questions. First- while everything fits properly- the rims are Konig Controls: 5-100.00/114.30 45, am I increasing suspension wear given the 45 offset- over the life of the car? If I had bought tires/rims that matched the OEM size- I would have no concerns. There is also more steering wheel vibration- even when the tires are properly balanced. Also, does my perceived decrease in handling and braking performance make sense given others experiences?
