Tesla already does add free for its products. Because publicity shouldn't cost anything! Because the airwaves are the permanent property of public and we shouldn't even be renting them out. Rent seeking on sunk cost speech enclosure shouldn't even be legal because it destroys our representation with top down sponsor captured supply side media which costs us our rights and turns us into property.

Read an article recently were some c suit thug types were commenting that Tesla only does nominal amounts on its infotainment that it doesn't yet amount to serious revenue. Code for charging way more than something is worth to extort people for stupid 'premiums.' It is the "cash in" on the backs of ordinary people mentality- the all-the-market-will-bear fool's perspective. We have to learn to lock these people up and not have them running round corrupting our organizations and our expectation of what is possible and what is right. No one should be paying more for something then they bargained on paying or really more than its obviously worth and its not simply the magic market that determines that.

Look at google's you tube now. It multiple modal ads per viewing now. The red option is going away. It interrupts and shuts down your browsing other videos if it wants to force an ad upon you while a video is playing. It is a total abuse of the public. You can't see a right to be interrupted or sell someone else's attention. Tesla doing a system right and refusing to engage in bribery based collusive abuse of the public means there is a lid on that form of fraud and theft from other providers. The success of Netflix is that it has been ad free. We are in the post ad age. Proper open source search where there can be no idiotic paid prioritization (paid censorship) means we don't need the ad industry any more (never really did.) Companies can do superior products and spend the waste that would have went to ad companies (which they use to pit companies against their own customers in subversive ways) on better products (as Tesla does) and can go into accurate search based product information and direct relationships with customers instead of manipulations by spammers and puffers. Can't wait for CA net neutrality to kick in (just about to) and the booting of the current moronic FCC.

Another great rant, but youre right. Tesla respects its customers just like Netflix, and that builds brand loyalty.
