There's a lot we don't know about the newly resurrected Scout Motors by Volkswagen Group. Into that vacuum comes an interview with its head designer, Chris Benjamin. You can read the whole thing here. Basically, though, it seems like they're developing something that looks rugged (and hopefully is), but without being over macho/aggro. There will be some cues that invoke the Scout of yore, but I got the impression it won't be retro-looking. The interior part sounds good. Functional, with strong tactile touch points. There will be buttons, like a volume knob and HVAC controls and they should look and feel special. Really looking forward to seeing how this brand is reimagined.
