  1. Tire Pressure? Or maybe new tires have a bit more friction until they are broken in?

  3. No. It's not the tires. History shows that. Besides I was switching from my Winter tires to the stock Nexens which (if anything) would cause an increase rather than a decrease in range.. What I noticed was an near instantaneous drop from one day to the next.

  4. However, I got my tires swapped out last week and immediately I saw a distinct drop in projected range.

Could it be that during the time the tires were being swapped the car was "on" and some electricity was used (heater, lights, maybe) and the 12V battery got topped up, but because no distance was covered, the GOM recalculated a lower efficiency, and so a shorter range?

  5. I don't know if that happened. It's an interesting theory but I'm not sure that an hour of "on" time would figure so heavily in a GOM calculation. I'm trying an experiment tonight and charging to 100% to see if that kickstarts a recalculation. Before the glitch 80% was around 350 km and 100% was 400km. I'm curious to see what it is tomorrow.

  6. 80% 313km
    100% 397
It's definitely different (lower) from previous experience but there also seems to be some disparity between the estimated range at 80 vs. 100%. I guess I'll just have to track it as the weather warms. It does seem a stretch to think I'll be seeing it matching previous warm weather range of 450-500km though. :(

  8. Charged today after a drive. 100% hit 425km today at 13°. That's...not terrible so maybe the range estimates lately were a bit anomalous? I'd still love to know why, after three years or consistency, they went wonky.

  9. Yesterday was 27° and I went for a 250km drive. My overnight charge delivered a GOM range of 467km so it looks like, after that range glitch, that things are back to normal.
