For those involved in the Buyback program: what are your plans after?

  1. Well wait, the only thing I'm saying is that people are harder on other systems than Tesla's.

    I personally wouldn't trust ANY system with my life at this time. But people are all in for Tesla's great system when the only thing I'm saying is it's just as buggy as all the others IF you use them as intended.

    Yes, it's buggy, no doubt, but it always sides on he side of caution.. Recently I drove home from a friends beach condo late night and fell asleep for a couple of seconds 3 or 4 times on the way home.. There is no other car that I would feel safe in in that scenario.. As I said, I have driven on Autopilot for thousands of miles already and it's an amazing system.. Yes - it does have bugs but it appears to me that those bugs are usually overly CAUTIOUS rather than reckless..
     
  4. You can say the same thing about SCC. It disables itself if it can't see the lines correctly instead of continuing on in a way that might be dangerous.

    I agree that it should warn you, which it doesn't do and I think it's a serious omission in it's programming.
     
  5. We accepted Hyundai's written buyback offer for our 2019 Kona EV Limited. Purchased a 2022 Kona EV Limited today.

    Latest "delivery" for cybertruck is 2022,and the initial ones will go to staff,and influencers,and random orders. Telsa is infamous for delivering outside pre order queue. Picked dual motor so it may happen sooner than those who ordered single motor,with tri likely the priority.

    My bluelink still can't function per the options in the app.,it's only been a 2 year wait for their developer to FIX it. The other issues still can't be repaired.Latest nav.update has made things worse for what used to be competent. I was late for a tee time because the navigation took me into the next town.The kona now periodically can't accelerate even with the accelerator is on the floor,at speed,or merging onto a highway....

    Tesla has issues,and the majority are fixed via OTA, or having a ranger come to your work place,or home.Other than fan boys,owners do highlight Tesla issues on youtube,and generally have updates with the fix. One youtuber is whatsinsidefamily, they currently own 4 Teslas,and were honest about buying a Honda Accord for{some} road trips due to the pockets of super charging dessert in their region.

    Congrats.Tell us how it is compared with the 2019. Like charging speeds, range in the real world...

    As a EV owner,I have been busy doing the job of legacy dealershipso_OI "sold" a 2022 Kona electric ultimate to someone in my EV club:cool: They take delivery in about a month. Also "sold" a Prius Prime as they're not ready to go BEV. I told them both what charging apps.to download. For the Prime,it was really sad what the Toyota dealer did,misinformation wise until I explained what the Prime is capable of for long distance drives. How driving in EV mode in the city will be fun compared to their ICE only ride.Last fall I "sold" a Y to someone who was looking at the Kona electric.

    I'm pretty sure that they generally will process orders as they are received.. Any other way would not be fair.. So, if your reservation is number 1 Million and they produce 200,000 Cybertrucks per year, you will have to wait 5 years.. Maybe it won't be that bad but it would make sense as they fulfill orders in the order that they were received.

    Can't go wrong with a Kona.. I loved mine and if it wasn't for my changed needs, I would have kept it until it would fall apart.

    Prefer facts to be involved. Looked for actual customer complaint for this response.Where a Model 3 reservation holder sums up what I was saying. At some point, Tesla ships out of order regardless of when a customer ordered. Model Y, IF I wanted one, I do recall I had a chance to order,and receive mine earlier than a year,or longer wait,catch: current Tesla owner,order dual motor,or order performance. With respect to Cybertruck production, look at the history of the 3,and Y.Once production ramps up,with the unibody,mega casting being used,it can hit 500000 latter part of year one at Giga Texas.

    In France, Hyundai are truly a horrible company from a customer relations point of view. Sounds like this is true elsewhere.

    We purchased our 2021 Hyundai Kona EV in May. The charging was inconsistent. The car has 3200 miles on it, and it will not start. We had it towed to the dealership, and the whole EV battery is bad. It has the same LG battery as the 2019-2020 models that have the recall. Hyundai quit selling the car in the Korean market, but decided to keep selling it elsewhere. I encourage owners with battery issues to report a case on https://www.nhtsa.gov/. I reported a case. The 2021 needs to be included in the recall. This is a very dishonest company. There is no ETA of a fix/new battery.

    I had @livingthecadream issue with the 2019,inconsistent charging appearing regardless of temperature,distance driven.Made worse by the BMS updates trying to mitigate the Li-ion fire. Pre recall,Hyundai ignored my concerns,requesting "duplication"of the issue,ANY issue. The Kona electric is still a very good value,on paper.Convinced a friend to buy a 2022, I am hoping it's not a dud.

    I don’t actually know what they’ll do, but I preordered the model 3 on the day it was announced and at first it was Long range RWD only for several months and they moved across the country starting in CA and moving east. Might be different now with multiple factories. So it’s not entirely the order in which you order. But if you are the 1,000,000th person in line you will certainly wait. Realistically though, a lot of those will cancel.
