As I mentioned on here a while back, I recently relocated from San Francisco to Hilo Hawaii. While waiting for my car to arrive, I rented a Jeep Compass -- an unpleasant vehicle even by ICE standards, but I needed something with a bit more cargo space than the Kona for stuff I had to do my first few weeks here. Anyway... I was reunited with my car yesterday and it was like falling in love again! After that wretched Jeep, I love my Kona even more, if that's possible. I'm also having interesting experiences due to my location: I'm in the hills outside of town, at about 1200 ft. elevation. So when I drive into Hilo to shop, the first 6 miles are literally all downhill! So that whole period, and then some, the dashboard display is telling me my trip average is 999 miles/kwh! Obviously I lose that advantage heading back home, but thus far my energy efficiency seems at least as good as in SF, even though I'm using the AC more.
