    Hello guys.

I'm curious if anyone here is using the default evse that is delivered with the car for daily charging. Until now, I've been using it a couple of times per week (2-3 xs, during 4-6 hours) and, from time to time, I've noticed that the circuit breaker fires say, from 3 to 3 months. The evse doesn't really look robust, so I'm thinking about buying a new one and I was wondering if anyone has any tips on a good evse which can be plugged into a socket. This one seems a good bet:

Any feedback? btw, I'm not looking into a wallbox because my parking spot is covered but "public" and I don't feel safe leaving a wallbox there.

    thanks.

If you using regular outlet 110/120 volts I really don’t see any benefit to invest in new charger .a factory unit provides 1.5 Kw and 10 amps.and is only what you get 3-4 miles/HR.If your breaker is tripping you should have 12 gauge wire 15 amps receptacle and 20 amps breaker that what I have without any issues.SE you set on level 1 charging and on maximum that’s all.

    Hello again.

Here (Europe) we're on the 220-240 v. My breaker is Legrand rx3 25a 30ma,which is more than enough for the default evse... I've tested the circuit and it's OK. Moving to the evse I've mentioned would mean improving 50% over the current values (my plug is set for 16 amp)...

In USA most popular for home owners charging is L2 and in my garage I run a charger on 240 v.with 32 amps on 40 amps breaker which is the most for mini cooper SE charging at 7.4 KW is like 5 Hr. Full charge .In EU I don’t know your system can’t help much but as I lived in Europe 40 years ago was no EVs around .
