EVSE NEMA 10-30 plug and cable getting pretty hot - is this normal?

Yup, that was quite some time ago, and then the ones from Mainland China started coming, too. They were all good for the local economy, as well as cultural diversity (have many Chinese friends), but not the best for young people trying to get into the housing market. I had to help out my son, and when the grandkids are older, will likely need help as well.

I have tons of Asian friends, mostly because I'm a competitive table tennis player and many of my friends who are also table tennis players are Asian.. Have friends who are native from Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong and China. I have a business together with a Thai friend (home flipping and renting). Also have a co-worker from Hong Kong and another one from Taiwan.. (I do work a full time job but also have a business on the side)

Yeah, we have people from all over here, and they have definitely enriched the place. My son married a Filipino, and we inherited a very large extended family. So we are kept very busy, just with family, not too mention keeping up with all our other friends.

However, we don't have the problems that we hear about down south with illegal immigrants, etc. Having said that, we do have a large and growing homeless population. Nothing to do with immigration, though, just govt policy (drug addiction, etc), very similar to Seattle, Portland and San Francisco. A real shame actually. I used to work downtown (retired now), and Vancouver was a nice clean, safe city then and often rated a most livable city in the world. Not now, though, as the parks and green spaces have been taken over by tent cities. And one of the major downtown streets (Hastings) has turned into a flea market for stolen goods. We avoid parking downtown now, unless it is in a secured inside parking garage. Actually, we avoid going downtown period, now, except when we have to for various reasons.

My wife is Mexican and my Ex-wife ia Brazilian. I love the latin culture but I believe that we need to stop illegal immigration. The cost to US taxpayers for the children of illegals is astronimical. Each anchor baby costs taxpayers $500k for Medicaid and School Education from birth to age 19 and their parents pay only a fraction of that in taxes.

That number fluctuates between 219 and 265 volts, averages out to about 240. Voltage fluctuates, even when using my electric tester. It's not consistent at 240 volts.. It jumps..

What make and model of meter do you use when checking voltage? Curious what time of day you see the 219 V and conversely the 265 V.

It's not fluctuation by time of day.. If fluctuates from second to second..

I tried the Analog multitester and it shows steady 240 Volts. With the digital multitester as also the voltage indicator on the EVSE show it fluctuating.
My digital multitester is from Harbor Freight... not really a pricey one..
