Which VIN Number to Consider

I have a generic question. If a dealer has 2 Clarity's, same trim, same color, which one should one consider? The car with the lower VIN (For example, ending with 00450) or the one with a higher VIN (ending with 05893)? Is it possible that the car with the higher VIN has a more recent software update?
 
It's very unlikely there are software differences in a model year for a mass production vehicle like this. There may be assembly differences as the line got used to building the vehicles.
 
I would take 5893. 450 is a very early build (likely was delivered to the dealer in early December). Car manufacturers do update the software within the same model year (I can think of several bugs in my Clarity’s software that will eventually be corrected with a software update).
 
Earlier vin may have been on the lot longer which means the dealer may be more inclined to move it. In some states, the dealer has to start paying tax on the vehicle if it sits on the lot too long.
