When unplugging phone from android auto

I've been using android auto for music which works great. However an annoying thing that I am experiencing is that when I unplug my phone the system automatically switches to the radio. Does anyone know if there is a way for the system to turn off or at least stay quiet when unplugging your phone. Thanks!

I think it might switch to the previous source. Try to switch to Aux before you plug your phone in. And then when you unplug it should go back to Aux.
