I like to set my cruise control then use my pedal on top of that to ensure I don't go too slow. The problem is that if I mash the throttle to pass cruise control seems to think I now want to continue at passing speed. Every other car I've ever driven cruise control drops back to the set point.
What's with this cruise control?

If your Hyundai software is built on top of the code used in my 2019 Niro EV, there is a "time out" over-ride. After sufficient time the Smart Cruise is in standby mode.
Depressing the speed adjustment toggle switch resumes the function.
