For the sake of history... Aptera built three alpha prototypes which they named for their color schemes: Noir, Luna and Sol. They then build a rolling test-bed beta prototype which they called "beta". Beta was followed by the "gamma" prototype (called "Gamma"), designed to show a version of the vehicle that was closer to the evolving production design. A delta prototype was not built.

Aptera then moved into creating "production intent" vehicles: PI-1 is a demonstration of the SMC body shell. PI-2 is a test vehicle that lacks a production interior, HVAC, etc. PI-4 is a non-running vehicle built from production-spec parts. PI-2 and PI-4 appeared at CES in Las Vegas, with PI-2 renamed for the ancient Greek god of speed, "Hermes," (because it could run and was used to give test rides) while PI-4 was renamed "Apollo" - the most beautiful of the male Greek gods (because its job was to look pretty).

Apollo is currently being fitted-out to be a fully-functional vehicle and has been renamed, "Artemis" - Apollo's twin sister. Hermes is still Hermes, and PI-3 - named "Gemini" - (because it is the twin of the eventual production vehicle) is being built to production weight so that it can be used for official range testing. Because most of Aptera's parts suppliers won't build fewer the 10K parts, many of the parts in the PI vehicles are production-spec simulations of "the real thing". For example, frame and suspension components that will - eventually - be cast are currently being machined, and many of the plastic bits and pieces are being 3D printed.

Lest we confuse Greek mythology with Roman, remember that the Roman's appropriates many of the Greek gods: Hermes became Mercury, Artemis became Diana and Apollo became, well, Apollo. Gemini seems to be a step away from mythology and into astronomy...

Here are two images of Artemis' interior. We understand that Artemis will be heading out on a nationwide road trip this summer, stops TBD at a later date.
