Yesterday I filled up with gas at the local gas station, but noticed as I drove off, the meter on the tank hadn't changed at all. Very slowly as I drove home (ten minutes, a few miles) it increased one bar by bar, until it showed full, but the trip odometer which I have configured to reset on fill up did not ever reset. Anyone else had this happen and know if I need to be worried about anything?

This just seems to happen once in a while. I don't fill up often (been September of last year since I bought gas), but I've noticed it multiple times in the 6+ years that I have owned the Clarity... always catches up eventually...

I had been keeping the fuel level low waiting for the fuel pump to be fixed. I drive almost all the time in EV mode, so I only added a gallon at a time over the last 6 months. The gauge in the car did not change and the estimated range did not increase either. The range went to zero and stayed there. What was interesting was that the Honda app did show the correct amount of fuel but the same wrong range as the car. The fuel pump is now fixed (no gas odor) and I filled the tank and everything went back to what was expected. Some research indicated that only adding a small amount of gas is not handled well by the car. My question is how the app was showing the correct fuel level and the car not?

I had the same issue a week or 2 back. I added like 1.5 gallons from a portable tank and the meter didn't move at all. Drove over 100 miles and it never went up. it kept going down. I was down to like 2 bars and the warning light came on. Miles remaining kept going up though after the warning came on. I filled the tank and took 6 gallons. With over 1 gallon left in the tank, I should have seen about 3 to 4 bars and not 2. Never had that issue until after the fuel pump recall was performed. The fuel gauge always registered fuel I added with portable tanks before. I wonder if the fuel float was changed as part of it.

They don't call those readouts "Guess-o-meters" for nothing. I've had occasions driving in HV mode out on the highway at a steady speed where the EV and HV numbers didn't change for 10-15 minutes. Thought I'd been gifted with a perpetual motion machine until the readings started changing.

I know they are 'guess-o-meter' but the fuel gauge should be accurate but not when you fill it up slowly.
