Hi Everyone,

On Friday afternoon 10/10/25 Eastern time hours, we will be running the upgrade of our software package here to the latest release. We will be turned off for about an hour or two around 2pm EST (GMT-4) so don't be alarmed if the site appears to be unreachable or is throwing errors.

When we come back online, it will look a little different, but should feel comfortable right away. There are some slight differences, but the general look and feel will be similar.

We will be turning off Tapatalk phone app. Frankly, it's not needed anymore with the new version as it is highly mobile device friendly. If you are a Tapatalk user, please just switch to the browser and you will be prompted to install the PWA instead which will mimic the experience.

If you aren't familiar with PWAs, it's a neat thing that lets you 'install' websites like an app/icon to your phone/desktop. Read here for more details: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressive_web_app

Afterwards, we'll be open for feedback, bug reports, and the like.

I look forward to taking this platform to modern standards. It will help with our rankings on search engines which should give us some new members to keep the conversation rolling.

Thank you!

You shouldn't have to re-set your password. Existing logins should work just fine.

Profile area is vastly unchanged, information-wise. It changes a bit in layout but nothing drastic.

Minor comment. When I was an operating system programmer, we only updated on Sunday evening and never before going on vacation. But that was back in bad old days when computers barely equal to a pocket calculator (now an App) occupied whole floors, consumed huge amounts of power, a forest of paper, and substantial building HVAC.

A bad habit I continued when I last managed a network of SNMP systems. When they went End Of Life, I retired.

Yeah, upgrading on a friday is never ideal, but it's the time slot that worked for myself and our back end team who are 6 timezones away.

I don't anticipate any major issues. I've done this countless times, i've run it successfully 1st try on the dev site here. We are in good position for a quick turn around and back online this afternoon NY time.

Nice screen estate! The new one is crisp whereas the old one was rendered in digital crayons.

Now the fun part, regression testing!
