and it's great to see U.S.A. and Canada actually working together again to achieve our mutual environmentally important goals.
I would much rather see responsibly mined exports of nickel, lithium, cobalt, graphite flowing south while reducing crude oil dependence and the hazards associated with its production and shipping methods (ie: tankers and pipelines) .
 
Ah Canadians. Hewers of wood and drawers of water to be exported elsewhere. It would be great to use these raw materials to make batteries and EVs right in Canada. Given the history of outside interests buying up resources, lobbying governments and plundering the resources for their own benefit I won't be holding my breath.

maybe jason kenney can make a pitch for the kxl pipeline to pump lithium brine to elon.:D
but we do need some finished product jobs here too.
we need more than mining/resource jobs.
like we should be making batteries here.
why are there no battery factories here?
we'll see if someone gets their head out of their *** in the near future.
our climate and oilfields, we should be king of geothermal here.
