I love the coverage of these mats but I'm curious how durable and puncture resistant the sewn-together layers of these Tuxmats are compared to the solid injection molded construction of Weather Tech and Husky mats.

I still don’t have the car yet so I was wondering why you all didn’t buy the factory oem all season floor mats?
OEM mats do not have full coverage for driver, especially at the left front where the left foot rest is. Also rear mat is two piece and does not cover hump in center. They are made of what seems to be the same quality material as WeatherTech but don’t provide the same level of coverage/protection and are not as deep in places. Unlike the WeatherTech mats I have used in other vehicles, I still get dirt on the carpet that I have to vacuum on driver’s side.

That makes sense. I think I’ll go with these mats once I have the car.

@KentuckyKen - Thanks for sharing this. They look really good, especially with the features you mentioned that are superior to the OEM version. The link you provided goes to the CA website, and the pricing is displayed as Canadian Dollar, and I couldn't find a US site for them.

@Jason Kam - Assuming you are in the U.S. Did you order them via the Tuxmat.ca site, and did they convert to U.S. dollars in the transaction? I see that the full set is shown at $228.90 CA, which I convert to $182.11 US. The only US path I could find is through Amazon, at $194.60 US.

The Amazon site shows as Free Shipping, but I'm not sure how Tuxmat handles shipping charges to the US.

Both prices don't include shipping, which could be significant, given the weight of the mats.
Hey I'm in Canada so it was a quick 2 day shipping for free for me. Not sure how it would work for the USA. Maybe send an email to find out. I think it's a small company but the mats are awesome!

Good idea. I'll check with them.

One more quick question. The black carpets offer a black hole effect. Difficult to see anything on them, except stains. Do the Tuxmats look that way too?

The black carpets just suck up all of the light. It is the one thing I'm not happy with on the Clarity.
Shiny on the Tuxmats may be a good thing, in that it implies some reflectivity, and maybe it will be possible to see dark objects on it without a flashlight.
