Hello.
I compared what's in the manual versus what I have in the car. What I find is the cargo cover which attaches to the tailgate with the cords. Then there is the variable cargo area floor, which can be moved high or low. However, in the manual I see another cover, which "folds". They call it the cargo floor panel (pg 214). I seem to be missing this. Was it included with the 2024s?

Thanks.

Not sure about '24 but it's in my '22. If it's missing you'd see body colored metal when removing the primary false floor. The tire inflation kit lives under there, or did they skip that too?

The whole bottom is wrapped and finished. No "compartments". I got the kit. That and another pouch with the first aid kit. A bag with the charging cables. 2 loose tow hooks flying about in the trunk. A cardbox box with some bolts I was later told are for the wheels. My first impression was: What the heck? cardboard box? loose stuff in the trunk? what did I just get myself into? couple of months later, having wrapped the hooks in a towel, I ask myself the same questions every time I open the trunk.

Are you talking about this? This is news to me as well. Maybe I should poke around in the boot more.

The way the carpet is moulded is 3 pieces - left, right, back seat hump cover. I can't imagine they'd change that for an EOL body. I only discovered after velcroing something to the floor, then when I removed it the floor lifted out. It was pretty wedged in there.

What do you know, there is a small compartment under there! I had no idea. PXL_20230828_220828886.webp

I was able to fit the jack, tire iron, and plug kit in that space. The included mobility kit is too large, though the slime kit I also carry would fit.

Huh, I didn't even think to look there. My first Clubman S had a spare tire down there, but since the SE doesn't come with one I didn't realize there was a cavity for storage. My lower area is filled with mobility kit, level 1 charger, rear headrests, and a moving blanket so it was so full I had no change to notice the handle cutout.

It's a perfect spot to keep my Power Spoke wheel balancing tool.

lol as useless as my MA was, he did show me the adjustable cover as well as the hidden "basement."

There's a true story of a middle-aged woman who did a BMW lease return at a dealership who forgot to get the items in the boot basement. She would anxiously call the dealer everyday to check on the status, and when the dealership got the vehicle back (presumably from autobody) they recovered her prized CD jacket holder of The Backstreet Boys!

Personally I'd be more devastated to learn that there's no CD player in the MINI SE.

Thank you all for the info.

I emptied everything out and finally found it. Not at all obvious, and certainly not when looking for it in the dark. The area was already pretty deep and I thought I was already looking at the bottom. Mine looks like image posted above by chrunck and I managed to fit a few things in there.

Thanks again!
