My Ioniq 6 OEMs were getting pretty bald (down to 1/32), so have been hunting for a good replacement. Saw on the forum (not this one) that folks like the Hankook iON evo AS tires. Local tire shop couldn't find my size, 245/40R20 anywhere in Canada. They recommended the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 instead. They consider them the best and comes with a great free maintenance and warranty package. So that's what I got. They were just $15 more per tire than the Hankooks. TireRack ratings were much better for the Michelins.

Only downside is they are not EV specific so are not as efficient as the Hankooks. However, the diff will likely be only about 10% at most. I will be monitoring the car's efficiency stats. Of course any new tire will be less efficient than my bald OEMs because of the new tread depth, which is 10/32 on the Michelins. My OEMs lasted only 42,000 kms and I expect the Michelins to be triple that. That could very well make up for the lower efficiency. Plus they are much higher performance (dry, rain, snow, ride, etc) and safer tire. They have been around for a long time, so have a proven record. These Hankooks are still new, and some reviews are critical of their performance in all weather situations.

Haven't driven them enough yet to provide a complete review. But did notice a smoother ride. Of course any new tires vs old bald ones should be smoother. I did crank it side to side a few times on the road, and they seemed very solid. Haven't been in the rain yet. Planning to go skiing next week, so might get some snow experience.
