That's almost a 31.8% increase if it was in $/kWh, but a 50.62% increase in $/min!!!

Well, as we ‘progress’ from crude oil and coal produced electricity to solar and ‘green energy’, the price will go down, right?

Well, regular gad is $4.69 /gallon here in Texas of all places.
This time last year it was $2.69.
That’s a 75% price increase.
So even though electricity has gone up, it hasn’t gone up as much as gasoline so driving an EV now is an even bigger saving than it was a year ago..:

Regardless of your air quotes it should do, yes, as burning stuff like natural gas is getting very expensive whereas solar panels, hydro and wind cost very little to maintain so the ongoing generation cost is minimal.
However we live in a purely capitalist economy with power generated by private business for the purpose of profit, so if they know people will pay 50c per kWh why would they lower it even if their costs go down?
