Tesla FSD beta on the DEWD Loop

Hey all. Figured I'd start a thread to share my experiences with FSD beta.

I just recently bought a used 2018 Tesla Model 3 with FSD beta included. I waited awhile and only activated it a couple weeks ago, just before my friend Kyle happened to be passing through my town. We made an initial video just trying it out, so I'll start with that video.

I then laid out a route through Tallahassee to make repeated passes over time to see how the system changes with time and new updates. As of this minute, I still have version 10.69.25, but I expect it will update to 11.3.xx any day now.

While this is mostly about the car's FSD beta performance improving, it's also going to be about my own education, getting used to how the car operates in the world and (maybe) being a little more trusting. I also hope to have some passengers in these videos, to get reactions of different people with less or no experience with FSD.

Here is my second run through of the "DEWD Loop," still on version 10.69.25. I noticed a few improvements this time - it handled one roundabout much better and didn't turn on its blinker for a couple turn lanes where it had previously.
Still a good number of issues: it's too hesitant to enter roundabouts, have to apply throttle; it braked for no apparent reason a few times; it will not stop for ducks waddling across the road!
The car updated to FSD 11.3.3 last night, so I'm eager to try it out. Heard lots of good things (and a few bad).

 
Try to find reproducible “phantom break” locations. I am reasonably sure:
  • There are speed errors in the Google map version.
  • The GPS processing has latent bugs.
When you find a reproducible location, set up a screen cabin and pass through at a slow speed. This provides empirical data showing the problem. Filing a problem report is harder which needs to be discussed in real life.
