I suppose this comes with most new cars these days? The ioniq 5 is connected to Hyundai central. Using the hyundai website I can see various real time data from the car.
Coming from a 25 year old car to the ioniq 5 is a real change. Technology has really been changing fast. And with that is the security of your data. So if Hyundai knows where the car is and can do things to the car remotely, what happens when someone hacks Hyundai servers and then gets control of your data and potentially your car?

Something to think about.

The telemetry data is used to update your map, the same way the Waze app does. Other than access to toggle your remote start functions and cabin preheating, Hyundai doesn't update "over the air".
