I learned very quickly I couldn't trust the ol GOM. My commute involves driving entirely downhill, and returning all uphill - and that's not including the searing heat and (occasional) cold. The GOM varied too widely to be trusted, which is why I ended up getting Torque Pro, OBD2 port and cheap Android phone. It's been much more accurate. It's like you have a different car than I do. My GOM now shows me about 66 miles fully charged. However, when I drive it I'm probably getting closer to the actual 83-mile range worth. I don't have the OBD2 Bluetooth adapter so I can't use Torque Pro to see how much battery capacity I have left at ~20,000 miles. 14 kWh seems suspiciously low to me.
