something I miss on my Clarity

We have a cheap and ancient 2001 Civic LX that my kids have used for getting to school. The front bucket seats both have fold down armrests. We have a 2011 Odyssey, both front seats have fold down armrests. After just coming back from a 700 mile trip last weekend I realized how much I miss those armrests on a long drive, they are perfect for resting my hands and arms in a comfortable position for long periods of time. In my Clarity the left side of the door is a little too far and too low to rest my arm, the right side console is also not right for my right arm. I miss those armrests.
 
I have the opposite opinion :) On the Clarity, between the door and the center console, it's a great fit for me. In my 2001 CR-V, there was only a single armrest on the right side of the seat. That was fine, but on the left, the door was a few inches too far out to be comfortable.

I have the same problem, the door arm rest is lower than center console making my left arm "airborne" when reaching for the steering wheel.
To circumvent I have these being delivered today from Amazon.

Best option I could find. Will let you know how the work/feel after installing them tonight.
 
Gee, if I tried to put my elbow on the console, it would fall into the top of my go-cup. The more I read about our various comfort struggles, the more sympathy I have for automotive designers trying to accommodate drivers with 2 ft height differences, nevermind taste differences.

I will now stop repining that my Clarity is not a bright enough red and that I have to duck down and peak through the steering wheel to see the speedometer.

I understand, as I do the opposite. Seat down, all the way back, etc. [emoji846]

As long as we can find a comfortable position, individually, that is the important point.
