Slow windows?

My windows close super slowly. They open at a normal speed. Is this just as designed? Maybe a safety feature?
 
Mine have two speeds. The start out closing rapidly, then change to slow as they reach fully closed.
 
Mine actually seem to start out slower and get faster at the end. I wouldn't call them fast at any point!
 
Mine were ridiculously slow and even screeched as they closed. Took it back and they opened the panels and changed some parts in the door. There is a noticeable difference now, they open much more quickly.

I just checked. One speed up and down. The speed seems quite reasonable to me. Not slow.

I'm sure I was remembering the 2015 Prius when I thought the windows slowed as they reached the top.
