I’m an amateur musician with a huge collection of rather niche traditional music. My 2022 Kia Niro EV of course lacks a CD player - meaning if I buy a CD at some obscure artist’s concert, I have to drive home, rip the CD, copy it to a thumb drive and plug it into my Type 2 sound system to hear it. That’s a bummer.
But then, if a track of the recording has a set or medley of several tunes, I don’t get to see the titles on my display screen. I see maybe 15 characters, or part of the title of the first tune in the medley, and no more. My previous cars could all show the complete titles by one method or another.
I spent time searching the sound system’s dismal manual, plus poking at the touchscreen every way I could, to no avail.
But here’s the really frustrating part. A couple days after that failed effort, I noticed the full, highlighted title of the current track scrolling across the screen! I don’t know what I might have done to cause that success!
But the success turned to failure. I never saw that scrolling title again, despite trying everything I could think of.
Does anyone know the secret combination?
