Satellite radio?

Ok so just confirm to me that I'm not crazy please...the dealership gave me the whole free trial of Sirius Xm booklet thing, but I'm pretty sure it's not available in the SE, right? Just like the finance guy tried to tell me I had run flat tires and I had to correct him

Congratulations! It looks great! The 2022 I ordered comes with a one year trial of Sirius - I'm not certain about the 2021s.

The trial comes with the Iconic level on the 2021s.

My dealership thought mine would be all season run flats because that's what they put on other cars they get in. They were shocked to see the summer tires too. No option to order differently at least then.

Ahh, thank you for clarifying. I didn't find an option for it in the car so I kind of figured it was not available. I'm not too upset about it. I usually just flip back and forth between stations and then get tired if it just like regular radio anyway.

Even my Sig+ has prep for Sirius XM (so I got booklets too). Every time I've had it in a car, I never renew. Especially now since I stream. I find it kind of a useless option for me as well.

Yup, mine is also a Signature Plus. I'm still very new to it and am pretty much still terrified every time I drive it haha. Getting used to regen braking has been a trip! But I love it.

I went from 3 pedals to pretty much just the one (outside of people doing stupid stuff). It's been so fun figuring out the car! I did come from a Mini prior so some parts are totally familiar to me. Have a blast learning!

Jim-E is gorgeous! Of course, I'm biased because our Elektro wears the same colors (except Elektro has all chrome trim).

I'm still bummed MINI didn't include AM radio in this high-end car. If, indeed, your MINI came with a year of free Sirius/XM radio (as did everyone else's SE), you should be able to see the Satellite radio option on your Media/Radio screen:

Sig+ did not come with a year free as an FYI. It came with "Satellite radio preparation", but no subscription. There is no satellite option on my car.

I had just about given up utilizing the free trials because that company made it so difficult to cancel service. You used to have to call them on the phone and sit through numerous sales pitch attempts just to cancel. The last time I cancelled (a few months ago), they finally added an option for it online. So now I won't mind signing up for the trial and plan to do so on my Mini!

You used to have to call them on the phone and sit through numerous sales pitch attempts just to cancel. The last time I cancelled (a few months ago), they finally added an option for it online. So now I won't mind signing up for the trial and plan to do so on my Mini!

They are annoying, that's for sure. I keep getting renewal notices in the mail for my '08 CR-V... you know 2 cars ago. They don't even have the stations I'd want most available in car - online only. So when I saw the Sig+ didn't have it, I sure didn't cry lol. Streaming works way better anyway.

Same. I wasn't going to activate the free trial on my SE for exactly this reason...but my Motoring Advisor activated it for me during the features walk-through. D'OH!

I've actually had good experience with SiriusXM, been a subscriber (two vehicles) for years, switching vehicles a few times.

Maybe I was wrong about all SEs coming with a free subscription. I looked through all my lists of features by trim level and can't find anything that's different in the harman/kardon system between the Signature Plus and Iconic models.

Sirius is misleading on what they say. All Minis that come equipped with Sirius XM packages will get 12 months. Not all Minis are auto equipped. The build for mine says satellite preparation only. I would have to do one more step or so to get it to work. I won't bother as the latin stations are online only and I listen to a lot of those.

And just remember, if you have a good data connection you can also stream music, podcasts, sports or anything else you may want via your smartphone to your in-car audio system. I do that and don't really care that much about the satellite radio option / subscription.
