Sat Nav Map Update via USB Drive

When updating the Sat Nav mapping from a USB drive is it automatic when you insert it into the USB port or do you have to do it manually and how long does it take to do the update?

Using Waze I’m happy with it no issues in NY everything I need is there

I guess you are using Waze utilizing your iPhone, I have a Samsung and Android does not play very well with my Mini Cooper SE - Besides I want to use the factory Sat Nav to avoid additional cables etc.

Went from an android to an iphone and the difference is big. Lots of stuff I'm not a huge fan of in the iphone but stepping into the Mini with it is pretty nice.
