Our Nissan Leaf had a token PV panel on the roof that recharged the 12v battery. The deck below the Clarity rear window could house a large panel. With a temp sensor it could power an exhaust fan on hot days. Thoughts? I doubt a nodding dachshund would fit back there.

That would be an interesting mod, for sure. Trick would be to source a panel that would fit. I know they make super thin ones, but I'm not sure what sizes it would come in.

I also don't know what you do with the energy it makes beyond what would be needed for a fan. (Or how you might exhaust the air via the fan, for that matter.)

Most sedans have a couple of vents in the trunk to allow the doors to shut easier and not pop your ears. They're behind porous carpeting.
