Rear Hatch Not Opening Completely

I have a 2019 Premium model, now 3 1/2 years old. The rear hatch now doesn’t open fully unless helped, probably due to loss of pressure in the lift support struts. I lubricated the exposed rods which helped the hatch close smoother, but did not help in raising the hatch.

This can be a problem if you don’t notice hatch is not fully up and you bump your noggin.

I anticipate replacing the struts but wondered if anyone else has noticed this. Car is always garaged here in So Cal.

I have the same issues on my 2019, which I bought in early 2020.
The hatch stops with about 6 inches to go, unless I help it through the top part of the movement.
I've hit my head on it several times... so looking forward to replacing the struts.
