I assume it's normal but seems weird to me...
The centre outlet seems to have no left/right directional control, only up/down and on/off.

Somewhat weird to me is that it is cross venting. By that I mean that the right half blows to the left and vice versa. Means that to close off AC to the left I have to close the right half of the centre vent.

Is this behaviour just a Kona quirk or is there a hidden left/right control of the centre outlet I missed?

I can adjust the vents just like you'd expect. They are sensitive controls, that's correct, but working just normal.

They are extremely sensitive, just a little too far and they are off.
You ain't kidding :)
Taped a couple of pieces of wool on the outlet to get a visual feel for output. Works as advertised but 'extremely' sensitive.
Hadn't worried about it too much before but had a warm day today, first of many hopefully. Wasn't a big deal with heat being used.
