Any interest in buying powerspoke wheels and tires? These came with the car when we bought it 2 1/2 years ago. We pulled them off and put on aftermarket ones and have been storing them ever since. Time to clear out the garage. Have lots more pics if any interest. We are in Central Illinois

what city are you located in and how much are you selling them for? (if you still have them lol)

Did MINI put run-flat Pirellis on your Power Spoke rims? I thought only ICE MINIs got run-flats.

We bought the car with these wheels on it at approx 3k miles. They are run flats and the wear is consistent with having that amount of mileage on them, but I can't say with absolute certainty that they are what came on the mini from the factory.

Looking at the photos in your ebay listing I do not think those P7's are runflats. If they were you would see the "RSC" (stands for Reinforced Sidewall Construction) in a circle next to the star on the sidewall. (see attached image for example) Yours do not have that so they are NOT runflat.

Just FYI, the Star on the tires indicates that they were manufactured for an OEM (in this case Mini/BMW). Since BMW has been so religious about installing runflats on their vehicles the star and the RSC have become conflated though.

You learn something new every day! My husband did indeed believe that the star meant run flat and a Google search of the part number brings up run flat options as well. He is changing the listing info. Thank you for the info!

So here's a question for the group: would Power Spoke wheels add to the resale value of an SE, by marking it clearly as the top-tier version, or are there just as many people who dislike the wheels or just want to be stealth as those who would appreciate them?

Just musing.

(I go back and forth on letting my SE continue to be a garage queen vs. getting another set of wheels such as these.)

We did not like the look of them and that was the single deciding factor in immediately replacing them when we bought the car. We held onto them for a couple years so we could put them back in if we decided to sell the car. But we thought maybe it would be a good time to sell them before people have forgotten about them entirely and nobody wants them. We plan to keep the car until it either quits or has essentially paid for itself in gas savings from our previous ICE gas guzzler. Have 64k miles so far

In my case, I loved the look of the aerodynamic Power Spoke wheels so much that I immediately replaced them with some used MINI Loop Spoke wheels so I wouldn't lose any of the yellow paint around the edges to some greedy, undeserving curb. I put them back on 1 or 2 days a year for special events, such as Drive Electric Week meets. My wife thinks I'm crazy to have 3 sets of wheels (including 4 more Loop Spokes with winter tires) for one car. My defense is weak.

Sounds like you need to buy yourself another set of power spoke wheels so you can use them more than a few days a year. I know someone who has some to get rid of ;)
