I got a little too close to a trash bin the other day and hit it with the right side mirror. The housing pivoted like it should and there was no damage to the housing (not even the paint). But, the sudden stop at the end of the pivot caused the mirror glass to pop out and glass first onto the pavement.
I got a new mirror but haven't been successful in getting it mounted back on. I finally got the main center ball & socket to pop together, but the two smaller ones that adjust the angle of the mirror u[p/down and left/right won't go in. Pressing just pushes them back.
Does anyone who has done a replacement on that mirror have any tips how to do it? I've searched all the threads having anything to do with mirrors but didn't find that specific info.
