Hello! I'm in the middle of purchasing a used 2023 SE and my mechanic found 2 permanent codes on the vehicle. The readout from mechanic's app (I think it's bimmercode) are in these photos: https://imgur.com/a/Wvlxj1O
I'm hoping someone here has experience with these codes and in particular if they'll be covered by original warranty (i have 2 years left). The car is being purchased from a non-BMW dealer (was a trade in) so they likely are limited in what they can do. So most likely the result in me negotiating down price and trying to guess what if any costs there might be that would be out of warranty.
805519: Googling a bit 805519 is frequently reported by BMW i3 users who use tesla wall chargers, which sounds like it might be harmless. BMW fault codes says
"Service Notes: "The fault can occur during direct current charging at a high-power charging station if the high-voltage battery is fully charged but the minimum available charge current of the charging station is still too high: The charging process is interrupted shortly before the 100% state of charge is reached."
This again sounds like a minor issue with using high-powered DC chargers.
031781: Googling 031781 doesn't result in much. BMW fault codes says:
"Service Notes: The fault is not due to a faulty vehicle component but to an ambient disturbance such as a communication fault with a back-end system or a restriction (maintenance work) of a back-end system. The exchange of vehicle parts would not rectify the fault in any case."
To me, this sounds like some issue connecting to a the internet for some ConnectedDrive service.
