My Aptera glossary is limited. Is the big carbon tub made by the C.P.C. Group what Steve's calling a "bink?"

Edit:
I kept googling and found he said "BINCs" not binks and it stands for Body in Carbon, the part that the C.P.C. Group makes in Italy.

It's one of those misnomers for which Aptera seems to have a flair - like naming the front wheel covers "pants", the rear wheel cover "skirt" and the storage bin "bunk". "Body in white" refers to the assembled, welded but not painted metal body of a vehicle - before the suspension, drivetrain, etc. have been added. For some unknown reason Aptera has chosen to use the term "body in carbon" (BinC - or "bink") to refer to the carbon fiber SMC structural components of their vehicle - ignoring the fact that the exterior of the body is fiberglass SMC.

Yes, CPC Group forges both the CFSMC and the FSMC components in Italy. The cast aluminum parts of the frame and suspension will come from a company in Spain and the drivetrain from a company in Germany. The HVAC system comes from China and other components such as lighting come from European companies. Aptera is truly an international vehicle.
