Not charging hogging up chargers

I posted this in the i3 room by mistake

I am just venting as this behavior is really pissing me off. Because I have an EV with a smaller battery I sometimes need to charge at work but it is getting harder and harder because of rude and thoughtless people like this.

The spots are clearly posted but people don’t care.

Private properties make their own rules, but clearly there’s a “rule” or two posted, and a towing company number, so…

I was reading the traffic laws up here in Quebec (h/t @teslarati97 for the direct link the other day ;)) and you can get cited for taking up an EV charging spot if not actively charging.
 
I went storming to the garage manager and he put warning notices on the cars that told them next time the will be towed. When I went back to check on the spots a couple hours later the white Tesla was gone and the notice was thrown on the ground. So the asshat also littered. Cool.

I have no idea who the owners are as this is in a public garage connected to my work’s office in Baltimore. Zero chance I’m going to confront someone over parking. I let the garage mgmt handle it.

Unfortunately, I don't have an orbital weapon. I'd be a little worried about damaging the chargers too.

I'd have had a nice little chat with the tow company.
We have enough trouble being ICEd without asshats like this too.

Was either charging?

Both were not charging as you can see the J1772 handles attached to the ChargePoint pedestal.
 
Paid parking places with plate recognition could enact an instant fine for this. A car is reported, management verifies, they get to pay an extra $200 when they leave.
Everybody is happy!

The most common offense in our garage is cars plugged in all day when the sign says 4 hours. And since Covid the garage is never full so there are plenty of spaces if the lazy assclowns would drive up a few floors…the chargers are just up the ramp between the first and second floors.

Less offensive, but I'd still charge them double.
 
My wife’s office has 8-12 L2 charging spots and there was a handshake 4 hour agreement. Plug in am and leave at lunch or find someone to switch with.

Worst case security would give you a warning. Well nothing was being enforced and 4 hours turned into all day. Last week they started with 10$ hr idle fee after a 15 min grace period billed directly to your Flo account. Also for whatever reason is always Teslas clogging them up
