No device connected

I use android auto with clarity and it works great. But when I don't plug my phone I get a black screen that says no device connected when I start the car. I have to press home to get to the main screen. Is there way to remove the black screen from coming. I wish it would default to the home screen all the time. Is there a setting for this

I think when you turn on you get the same screen you had when you turned off. Have you tried to switch to home screen before switching off the car?

I like this feature. I can get right back at where I left off if I stopped for some errands

yes, it doesnt matter which screen i last had it. the next time i start my car it shows the no device connected screen

Could it be the USB cable that I assume is still plugged into the USB port that is causing the notification?

Yes, the USB cable is still plugged in. That would be annoying if I have to remove the cable for that to go away

I've noticed this 'feature' when using AA. I guess I'd rather it try to open that source on the next restart versus automatically switching to a source that I no longer have like sat radio.
