If anyone is curious - We are looking for a new Leaf, but want to try a Niro, too. I just got an email from the Kia dealer. He said one came in and was immediately sold. A few more will arrive in ~3 weeks? There's a waiting list, it seems. Every dealer's dream.
But just like the Nissan dealers, Kia doesn't promote EVs, and the sales staff knows little about them. Nissan showed us 3 used Leafs. If they even had a new one, they didn't offer to show it to us. The sales manager told us the rebate was $2500. I think that's what you get for a lease?
And we're buyers - retired adults, that arrived in a Leaf!

Niro starting deliveries in Canada now. Some CARB/ZEV states as well - maybe just California not 100% sure. Also deliveries already happening in Europe.

car sales people are rarely a good source for any product info; do your homework before you go, then you just have to deal with the pricing nonsense..
