I don’t disagree. Racing isn’t what it was when his dad took the FOWC (the year Villeneuve was killed), but Nico did win more than 10% of his entries, and finish on the podium in more than a quarter of them. It helps that he was on the most technically advanced team — with the deepest pockets in racing — of the 2010s.

A few year back I had the chance to get a private tour of Williams F1 including the museum. I’ll never forget rolling up the gate and them saying “yes Mr Snrub they are expecting you”

I just read that Vettel bought the FW14B you are standing next to unless that is a press car. Pretty cool!

I hope Williams can return to form. After Claire left, I was pretty hopeful but I guess it takes time. She didn't seem to have the right personality to be in charge. That Netflix documentary showing her being so indifferent to being ready to the season was shocking.

She maybe wasn’t the right fit but I don’t take much from drive to survive. It’s entertainment

I think there has been plenty of discussion already about the three or four other so-called “all weather” tires commonly available for our cars in North America, namely the Nokian WRG4, Michelin CrossClimate 2, and Kumho Solus.

As said above, they didn’t show Rosberg doing any technically challenging driving, nor did he give details of any performance metrics. Also, I need a winter-rated tire to prove itself in sub-freezing conditions, and the video offered nothing of the sort.

Honestly cross climate tires even here would be a good choice now. Winters have been mild for the most part. If you drive little mileage it’s an option to look into

The only reason I haven’t switched all our cars to “all-weather” tires is because of the cycles. When I get a car, it has new all-season tires, so I get a set of new winters for… winter. What’s the point of spending more for all weather tires if I’m not going to also use them during the three warmer seasons? So I just don’t. With the MINI SE and the smart, I am on HP or UHP (are the Eagles UHP?) summer tires, so it’s moot. But the Kumhos on mom’s '03 Corolla were amazing for our conditions here in the city. She got five low-mileage years out of them and since this spring they and the Corolla are living in usually-milder Hamilton with my sister and BIL and I expect he’ll run up the miles and wear them out before they dry/age out.
