It has grown 150 mm longer, 25 mm wider and 60mm longer wheelbase length, comes with 12.3" display, also incorporates new stretched Seamless Horizon Lamp, which is pixelated on the EV variant. Also new sharp diagonal crease of the sides connects the satin chrome molding from the belt line to the spoiler. :)

Looks impressive, more details to follow in the coming months.
I would have liked to see V2L capability, and integrated wet type motor/gearbox
however, no mention at this time...YET

I did a google search on the image to see if anyone had predicted the appearance and Australian Wheels was very close 8 days ago. I do like the diagonal crease on the door but hope that it's well-integrated on the full side view and not just a nod to the I5.

There's a post on IoniqForum.com about the Ioniq 5's front motor being 400V as opposed to the rear which matches the 800V battery architecture. I'm half wondering if that's what the '2023' Kia Niro and (presumably) this new Kona is based on?

Hopefully the drivetrain will also be updated and possible V2L capabilities. Remains to be seen. If it does, I will definitely bite.;)
 
Do you think there is any chance that there will be an AWD option? That’s would be a deal maker for me living in rural New England.

Interesting.... I wonder how this "larger" Kona will compare with the "smaller" Ionic 3 which may appear on the market after 2025? I have not seen any detailed specs on the latter, but would be surprised that Hyundai would sell both models in the same market.

New Kona will still be a hybrid, ICE and BEV just like the current one. Hyundai may want to keep a non BEV in that size for a while yet. But the I3 will be BEV only so not the same.

I also like the two-tone shades, but apparently that will not be included on the production version.

So What I have done is reserved a 2023 2024 New Kona right now. My thinking is If and when the new Kona's arrive I will get first crack at them. Dealers usually get a few in at the beginning then run out. As for all the other Ev's there is a 1 year to 18months wait for all types where I live, and my area sells a ton of them No kidding. So my thought was be the first on the list for arrival in 2024.. It could be just a dream..LOL

2024 Hyundai Kona Electric Powertrain Specs Are Out (insideevs.com)
A reduction in the torque from 395Nm to 255 Nm. Old motor 150 kW vs new 160 kW Not sure if it is a redesigned motor or software/firmware related.
Comes with battery preconditioning, and heated charging door:)
V2L capable 1.63 kVa (N.A) 3.13 kVa (Europe)
Also c/w surround view monitor, Bose premium sound system, ADAS, remote smart parking assist (RSPA) and OTA updates.
More details here, including what is and not included comparing N.A. and European markets. IE HUD,frunk and V2L outlets-assuming inside cabin ones (only available in Europe)
Only questions I can think of now are
(1) is the motor/ GRU new model-wet similar to E-GMP
(2) color (and maintenance interval of battery coolant)
This one is definitely on my list.:D

Why wouldn't they have gone with the 800V faster charging? I would be OK with the range if it had that.
