Yes, they were Corona Spoke wheels when I ordered my MINI Cooper SE in 2019. Then came the Corona virus, which shut down MINI production at Plant Oxford and caused the company to rethink the name of those wheels.Their original name was Corona wheel. Changed for reasons.
Not cold enough to worry about tread cracking, I guess?Slapping my Power Spokes back on today. It's sunny and breezy, and will only get to 50° today, but overnight lows – I leave for work at 4:00 am – likely won't dip below freezing again until late October. Experience over the last few changeover seasons tells me that the Eagle F1s stick surprisingly better than expected at low temps, so I'm not too worried about low-30s. Hoping to get a fourth summer out of them before they wear through to the nylon threads.
Ouch! Not many at all! Car is just about to hit 20,000 miles, and I would say about 40% has been on the winter tires, which are already very worn as well. So maybe 15,000 miles on the summers by the time they're truly finished?
Wow.I just got new Eagle F1s mounted, noted the odometer. I'm planning to track precisely what I get on these, by noting odometer when I switch to winter wheels and back again. My best guess on my previous two sets of F1s is about 30,000 each time.
Wow.
Did you end up with Pilot Sportses?I need to install my summers but the weather has been awful
Lol! I read this and all I could hear is Gollum:Did you end up with Pilot Sportses?
