Navigation tracks your history ?!!?

Noticed today that the nav system appears to track your history. I probably should just RTFM, but (1) does it track when you’re not actively navigating your route [appears so] and (2) how to clear/reset/prevent recording?

Yeah, it records every place you go BY DEFAULT.

You can clear it or turn it off in device settings as per below.

Just as an aside -- and definitely not implying anything about the reasons you ask -- but these days privacy is really difficult to keep. If someone wants to track where you go, there's a lot of tiny little cellular GPS transceivers that can be hidden in the car. For example, I have a tiny one attached to my dog's collar which will notify me whenever she goes out of a designated safe zone and also can track where she goes.

As far as Honda being able to know where we go, they can more easily than using navigation if you are using HondaLink. The car sends its location out regularly.
