Mini Touring Superleggera Vision revisited

I happened across a this car from 2014 -- the Mini Touring Superleggera Vision -- and it struck me how completely awesome it still looks. So, I thought I'd share the video MINI put out about it at the time and some pics.

I also tweeted at MINI that they should reconsider producing this, but with rear-wheel drive and 300 miles of range, because if you're going to make a halo car, make a frikkin' halo car.

I, for one, would be totally in favor of producing this car anew as a BEV. Sharp looking, and definitely would most likely outclass any other two passenger convertible on the market! (And, for @insightman's sake, no hood scoop that I can see in the photos!)

It's a beautiful car, but seems off-brand to me.

I agree they should make it. I disagree with the 300 miles of range. Current batteries would be very heavy for that kind of range. Keep it light. Keep it Mini. I would be happy with the same range as my SE!
