Mini teases "Something thrilling is coming"

It doesn't look like the next-level JCW. If it's not the un-rumored but frequently requested SE Convertible, it's probably just a "thrilling" cosmetic package, which is something MINI is wont to do when sales need a boost.

The teaser image looks to me to be of a hardtop (see white roof at bottom of image). Of course, the teaser image isn't necessarily of the real thing being teased either.

Truck?
An article popped up in my news feed about the guy who made an "el camini". This pic isn't it, but a quick image search produces a lot of examples.

Sorry kids, but I don’t see any yellow. I don’t know much about MINI, but it doesn’t make a lot of sense to do a new version of the SE when you can’t even get the current SE’s on the lot.

I agree with that. There must be a battery or chip constraint limiting production

If it's the Motor-Tober test drive, things are looking grim. I just brought my Clubman in for service today, and not only is the dealer lot almost empty, they have ZERO cars in the showroom. They do have some test drive vehicles, but this chip shortage is hurting supply. I feel bad for my dealer.
