Mini SE Electric 2022, mirror cap color code

Hello,
My wife scratched the yellow mirror cap and pretty sad because she is pretty attached to the car, and especially to the cute yellow mirror caps.

The scratch itself is not that bad, but I can see the black base color.

Dealer said I can order a primed one for $134+ tax, and also need to take it to a body shop to paint. They also gave a color code: bright yellow B17.

I'm guessing that, it will likely cost over $300 which is too expensive for me.

I'm looking for touch up paint options.

My first question, is the color code correct?
I see people are referring to energetic yellow. Could the dealer have given me a wrong code?

As far as I know, the yellow mirrors are indeed Bright Yellow, a slightly different hue from the rest of the yellow highlights on the SE. You can plug your VIN into a decoder like https://www.mdecoder.com/ and scroll down to “Environment and Safety,” it should have a build code for the mirrors, which might specify the exact color. Mine is “S383 - Roof and Mirrors - Black” — not too helpful in my case. But yours might say “Bright Yellow.” Your sales contracts and build sheet should also specify it (hopefully). Please let us know!
 
FWIW, 3M/VViViD “Bright Yellow” is somewhere between the mirror caps’ (and 737 Power Spoke rims’) “Bright Yellow” and the rest of the trim’s “Energetic Yellow.”
 
The yellow accent on the SE is "energetic yellow", here are the codes I have for that.

Energetic Yellow
Pantone: 612C
CMYK: 0/0/100/23​

I know from experience with wheel caps the Countryman yellow is very different. I have no idea if the mirror caps are actually energetic yellow, but I'd be surprised if they're different. My SE came with "vigorous grey" mirror caps, and I never found the color codes for that.

Yeah I think the yellow mirror caps are the same as available on the ICE cars, so not Energetic. The same goes for the rim band on the Power Spoke wheels, the yellow isn’t the same as that of the center caps or S badges.

I don't agree with that, because I put MINI center caps on that weren't SE-specific, and the yellow was way off compared to my Power Spokes. I actually special-ordered SE caps because the color mismatch was so extreme.

Yeah, I ordered mine from Seattle mini as well, using your part number and advice (ie, it’s not the Power Spoke bolt covers). But the band around the rim is definitely not the same hue of yellow as in the bolt covers or in the car’s chrome badges. I don’t believe the colored centre caps match any of the normal mini trim colors.
